2. Identity and contact details of the Data Protection Officer.
The University of Western Macedonia, to which the Centre of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning belongs, has appointed a Data Protection Officer, with an email address of dpo@uowm.gr.3. Purpose of processing.
Applicants' personal data is processed for the examination of the submitted request/complaint, with the aim of immediate and efficient service of the requests.4. Legal basis for processing.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is paragraph 1 point c) of article 6 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 in conjunction with article 4 § 1 par. 1 of Law 2690/1999 (fulfilment of a legal obligation to process the request/complaint) and for the processing of any special categories of data paragraph 2 item g) of article 9 of the same Regulation (management of social systems and services).5. Recipients / categories of recipients of personal data.
The data being processed can be accessed by the Office of the Legal Advisor and the respective employee responsible for handling the request/complaint, who acts under the supervision of the University and processes the above mentioned data exclusively on the basis of specific instructions, committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the data (article 29 G.D.P.R). The data will be disclosed to the persons involved with the request/complaint that is necessary for the examination and satisfaction of the request/complaint. If you wish your request to remain anonymous, you should specifically notify us and we will inform you of the possibility of investigating it. Data may also be accessed by IT service providers and administrative support providers. The processing by the suppliers, performing the processing on behalf of the Centre of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning, is governed by contract (Article 28 GDPR). The Centre of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning ensures, and through a written contract, that the data is processed on its behalf only for the above purpose and directs written instructions to the suppliers, inter alia, regarding the retention of the data, the deletion (after the end of the provision of processing services) of those data that are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed, as well as with the process of managing any personal data. The same applies to any other processors on behalf of the Centre of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning who take part in the same type of processing.6. Rights of Applicants.
Applicants have the following rights:
i) The right of access to personal data and information about its processing, including the right to obtain a copy of the data.ii) The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.iii) The right to delete data that is no longer required in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or were submitted in process in another way, provided that the processing is not necessary to comply with a legal obligation.iv) The right to the restriction of processing when the accuracy of the data is disputed, the processing is considered unlawful, the applicant objects to the processing, or the Lifelong Learning Center no longer needs the data. Applicants can exert the above rights by sending a relevant request to the Data Protection Officer of the University of Western Macedonia at the e-mail address dpo@uowm.gr. At the same time, if the processing of the data violates the G.D.P.R., the applicants retain the right to submit a complaint to the Personal Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifisias Ave., 11523 Ampelokipoi, tel. 210.647.5600, www.dpa.gr) or to the supervisory authority of the EU member state where they live or work or to the supervisory authority of the place of the supposed violation.
